There once was a ram in a zoo
Who never had time to be blue.
While some rams were sad
And others got mad
His secret, he said, was fuck ewe

Death is an acceptable excuse...
Death
is an acceptable excuse for an absence
Indifference
much harder to bear
Well
used as I am to perpetual distance
For
the dead, one can compose a prayer
For
the dead, one can breathe, and grieve, remain and endure
And
now breathing I do much the same
Keep
obserdevotions, prepare for the worst, unsure
And
wait, as pawns do, movements in game

When all good deeds....
When
all good deeds have been repaid
the
Hero gets a weighted blade
the
heroine lies a ruined wreck
ashes
and sack cloth now bedecked
Dragons
die with all they hoarded
Loyalty
goes unrewarded
You
never see the ones you serve
Yet
always get what you deserve

The Vampiress
Your
honeyed eyes
belie
a deeper gaze
which
beckons nigh
yet
fades in light of day
Your
wanton smile
is
hungry for the flood
that
swallows while
it
drowns all that is good
Your
ragged breath
breathes
deep surrounding scent
exhales
death
and
wonders where life went.

That poems professing love...
That
poems professing love
often
mention gods
must
show that as above
so
below goes on.
The
lord in the lover lies
now
belief and faith are known
the
divine in the mortal is recognized
and
the way to true heaven is shown.

The Port City
I
found her by the water
that
lady of great renown
the
salty spray like jewels
bedecked
her trailing gown
The
web of lights men bought her
she
wore more well than any crown
to
delight the eyes of fools
for
the maid is not the gown

Unforgiven
I
know a garden wherein bloom
Red
roses which will die too soon
from
ungloved hands which long to touch
the
flowers which she loved so much
And
I suppose, that somewhere dwells
A
man who walks the paths of hell
with
great and unforgiving blade,
a
monster of his soul hath made
Yet
into quiet moments seep
for
each, sweet memories they keep.
By
keeping, know it's all that's left
beyond
the chasm known as death

Ode to the water of life
My
lips grow dry awaiting your pleasure,
My
hands they itch to pull you close,
to
raise you up high, my light, my treasure
And
to the tavern propose a toast
And
to the world proclaim my lust
Reunited
consummate joy
And
drain you I will, as drain you I must
Though
my heart and soul you destroy
Another
round of my love, I'm buying
to
banish pain, bow to old ghosts.
Another
round of my love, I'm dying
To
spirits and generous hosts.

So patterned is the chaos...
So
patterned is the chaos,
predictably
undoing
In
everything that's lost
there
dwells a new beginning
In
blank, quiet spaces,
balance,
hate with what you give
Softly
pass to leave no traces
of
ever having lived

In everything there does reside...
In
everything there does reside
the
brighter and the shadow side
Even
suns in twilight shine
as
noonday moons from midnight hide
In
dusk there dwells the hope of dawn
midday
casts shadows, deep and strong
In
balance checked, each force entwined
The
weave of patterns by design
Do
not resist the ebbing tide
or
refuse precious points of pride
Accepting
each with purpose clear
embracing
both, shed undue fear
Yet
revel not with undue joy
nor
righteous, wicked lust destroy
Lest
burn within a flame so bright
it
immolates the very night
Then
darkness grows, as wire thin
are
drawn resolve and hope, and then
while
holding close most hated fears,
you've
lost your grasp on all that's dear

How many shadows....
How
many shadows
have
you seen,
how
many chains
have
daisies been
How
many ghosts
remain
unwed
for
what is love
among
the dead
And
what is death
to
those who love
who
live in light
and
dwell above
For
what lies below
but
former years
tainted
by
unwanted
fears
And
so are shadows
yet
unseen
flitting
through
the
lake of dreams
